World Art Gallery

Cannon Fine Art World Gallery represents emerging and established artists of color.  I am a new gallerist/curator with a special interest in serving artists who have historically been underrepresented (and underpaid) in the art world.

Michel Delgado was born on the West Coast of Africa, in Dakar, Senegal.  Throughout the 1980’s he lived in Paris, exploring and participating in the major European city’s art scene. The painter immigrated to the United States in 1988 and is now based in Chicago.  He frequently travels the country for his exhibitions.

‘Growing up in Senegal, on the west coast of Africa, life and art shared the same space.

“Everything I create and paint comes through my relationship with the world “

Born in Ghana, I came to the United States when my father came to teach history at Talladega College in Alabama as a Fulbright Scholar.

“I am still working, and still learning, through the wonderful journey called life,”

David Niari

David Niari makes illustrations, paintings and mixed media artworks. By referencing romanticism, grand-guignolesque black humour and symbolism. His drawings demonstrate how life extends beyond its own subjective limits.

His works are based on formal associations which open a unique poetic vein. Multilayered images arise in which the fragility and instability of our seemingly certain reality is questioned.

David Niari currently lives and works in Chicago, IL.
